Fun little weekend project: Wicker basket end table

I found this cute little end table on craigslist for free over the weekend. So cute! Just what I needed for my living room to keep all the kiddo's toys hidden. I paid about $2.50 for a small sampler can of paint and my splurge was the Martha Stewart drawer pulls which were $4.50 each. The fabric was leftover from my Fancy Frames redo.

Bunkbed finished!

Okay, so it's not the best picture. Aiden's room is really dark (the gloomy Oregon weather isn't helping any either). So, this was the best I could do. Once I get his room cleaned up and his beds made, I will post a prettier pic :)

Bunk bed updater

Here's the first happenin's of the bunk bed makeover. My original burnt orange plan was quickly thrown out when I saw this color at Home Depot :)

Ewwwww...

These are the ugliest bunk beds I have ever seen! I found them on CL for $30! WOOT! Sent the man to go and pick them up and he warned me before he pulled in the driveway... but I didn't listen.

Let's hope something can be done for them :)

These are my inspirations for this project:
I love the muted color she used on this bed for her little dude!

She also used a dark stain over the top to make this neat-o rustic effect! See the full redo here!
Now for colors... Aiden really wants an OSU Beavers room but I'm a little iffy on that. Bright orange and black are too Halloween for me. I love his spirit, but he can wear it on a tshirt. I will compromise, however and I think a burnt orange will be nice... maybe like so:

AND... I'm thinking this will be a fun Mod Podge project as well!

Stay tuned to see a finished project :)

And now... for your feature presentation...

I was featured on Better After! WOOHOO!

Check it out!

Fancy Frames

I bought these "lovely" frames for a grand total (on sale) of $1.49 from the Teen Challenge Thrift Store. After a little paint that I had laying around from the chair redo & some sale fabric ($2.99) this is how they turned out! Not too shabby :)

Dining Room Chair project

Before and after.
2 chairs from Habitat for Humanity $14
Spray paint $3
Fabric $10 (enough for 4 chairs)

Monkey Dresser Re-do

Here is a dresser I found for FREE on Craigslist! It cost me $6 to repaint for Henry's room :)
